To all customers looking to book car parking throughout October and November please take note of the below advance notice from National Highways as well as the recommended diversions in respect of resurfacing work on the M6 between junctions 7 (Great Barr) and 10 (Wednesbury) over this period.

Dear Customer,  
We’re writing to inform you that we’ll be carrying out resurfacing and joint work along the M6 from junctions 7 to 10. This will provide a smoother and safer road surface for users.  We’ll work overnight, from Monday 12 October to Friday 13 November 2026. 
To carry out our work safely, we’ll work under a total closure of the M6 as below. 
- Monday 12 October to Friday 16 October 2026, 9pm to 6am – Total closure of the M6 northbound between junctions 7 and 10
- Saturday 17 October to Monday 19 October 2026, 10pm to 5am – Total closure of the M6 southbound between junctions 10 and 7
- Monday 19 October to Friday 23 October 2026, 9pm to 6am – Total closure of the M6 northbound between junctions 7 and 10
- Saturday 24 October to Monday 26 October 2026, 10pm to 5am – Total closure of the M6 southbound between junctions 10 and 7
- Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October 2026, 9pm to 6am – Total closure of the M6 northbound between junctions 7 and 10
- Saturday 31 October to Monday 2 November 2026, 10pm to 5am – Total closure of the M6 southbound between junctions 10 and 7

- Monday 2 November to Friday 6 November 2026, 9pm to 6am – Total closure of the M6 northbound between junctions 7 and 10
- Monday 9 November to Friday 13 November 2026, 9pm to 6am – Total closure of the M6 southbound between junctions 10 and 7.
